Did a beautiful senior shoot with miss Karlie yesterday afternoon in the beautiful downtown Pensacola, FL.
I really enjoy working with high school age students, they truly make my job easy (;

I figured I would make my first post to a new Tumblr one to reflect on. This is my best friend Josh & he is not able to marry the man of his dreams, and for this, I am very ashamed to call myself a United States citizen. Over the years people have fought for different rights and they have fought long and hard and a majority have won. There is such a large percentage of the population being gay, that I think it’s time we reflect on how the straight population would feel if they were not allowed to marry whomever they wished.
Think back to when a white girl was killed or shamed for wanting to marry an African American man or vice versa. Think back to when a woman could not hold the same position as a man and now we are running for president.
The people who are fighting to stop gay rights should think back and if they fit into these or any of the other “classifications” individuals are placed into because they are, so called “inferior” to another individual because of something that the were BORN with, then who are they to fight against something that they now have the right to do.
We should stand up for others and help them fight for their freedom, which after all, is what America was built on.
If you can’t stand behind a fellow citizen of our country to fight for their more than deserved right, then you should really evaluate how little this is actually going to effect you. A man marrying a man or a woman marrying a woman will not affect anyone other than the people in their personal lives. I’m not saying its something that should be brought into the workplace, but it’s a personal right to go home to the person you love and share a last name if you wish and be given the others benefits through work, be able to decide what happens to your belongings once one or the other passes and just live an overall happy life having the same benefits a straight couple would have.
All of the postings on Facebook are just to show how many people actually support the love, and though I’m not saying you have to completely support gay marriage, because you don’t have to support anything, but you should at least picture yourself in someone else’s shoes and think of how you would feel if put in their place.
Fight for not just your rights, but those of your fellow Americans.

That is all (:
